Is there financial assistance available?
Financial assistance is available to families either from the Aquinas Catholic School Finance Office or from their parish. Families needing Financial Assistance should initially contact the ACS Finance Office for Financial Assistance Application materials. Pastors from Aquinas Catholic School parishes will also attempt to provide financial assistance as well.
Do you require uniforms for students?
Cathedral School does not require uniforms for students. However, Cathedral School and all Aquinas Catholic schools have a fairly specific dress code with uniformity of colors and styles that may be viewed as comparable to a uniform dress. Student shirts/tops must be navy blue, red, or white button polo shirts or turtlenecks with collars. No logos except the ACS logo are permissible. White blouses with collars may be worn under jumpers only. Skirts and jumpers for girls are to be navy blue, khaki tan or black. Pants are to be navy blue, khaki tan, or black also. A comprehensive dress code with more specifics on sweatshirts, sweaters, shorts, and footwear is available upon request from the Cathedral School Office.
Do you have a hot lunch program?
Cathedral School offers a hot lunch program for students. Lunch is cooked on-site. The advantage of our on-site programs is the variety of meals that can be offered, the freshness of the food, and better portioned servings given the different ages of students. A cold breakfast program is also available to students, as needed, each morning.
How often to the Kindergartners meet?
Our five year old Kindergarten Program is an all day, five day a week program Our three-year-old preschool and four year old Kindergarten programs meet 8am to 11am Monday through Friday. Extended care is available until 4:30 p.m. for an additional fee.
Is After School Care available?
An After School Care Program is offered for students at Cathedral School until 5:30 p.m. After School Care is also offered at Blessed Sacrament School for grades 4K-2. Free bus transportation is provided to Blessed Sacrament School after school. The Program provides a convenience for students who may have siblings involved in After School activities at Blessed Sacrament. More specific information and costs regarding the After School Care Programs may be obtained by contacting the Cathedral School office.
How often to students attend Mass?
Mass is celebrated weekly at the School. Our weekly mass is generally Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m.. Parents and grandparents are welcome to attend. Priests from Aquinas Catholic Schools parishes celebrate mass with the students on a rotating basis. Student involvement in the Mass with readings, offertory procession, petitions, etc. is on a rotating basis with a different classroom responsible for the Mass each week.
What is the EXTENDED CARE Program for four year old Kindergarten (4K) and Preschool (3P)?
Extended Care is a day care program offered to extend these half-day programs to a full-day experience during the school year. Parents can choose to participate in this program if on site day care is needed. An advantage of our Extended Care Program is that students do not have to be transported off site by parents or bus. Students stay for lunch at the end of the morning 4K session (11:00 am). The afternoon consists of a variety of structured activities including rest time, snack, free play, learning centers and physical education.
What is SUMMER CAMP CATHEDRAL?
Summer Camp Cathedral is a program offered to students who attend Aquinas Catholic Schools. The camp is made up of fun, interactive, educational field trips. Visit Summer Camp Cathedral under the Parents tab for more information.
